Myofascial release refers to a series of techniques designed to release areas of facial restriction.

The techniques work by releasing one by one restrictions throughout the whole body giving relief to many aches and pains in one treatment.

 

It brings about permanent change in the tissues so that the results will last longer than conventional massage treatments. Postural changes can occur so that symptoms do not keep re-occurring.

What is a treatment like?

If you like stretching you will love Myofascial release!

Treatment approaches vary according to the condition you present with. Mostly you will be lying down on one of our heated couches covered with towels or blankets. Jeanna will use a variety of different techniques by applying gentle traction to a large area of the body eg back, hamstrings, arms or leg.

Once a release is felt more focussed stretching of individual muscles will be applied. Communication is important to ensure you are comfortable with any sensations or emotions that arise throughout the treatment.

Sensations from tingling, tightness, heat, cold and sometimes emotions or old memories can occur. Jeanna is trained  guide you safely through anything that may occur so that you feel secure at all times. A sense of intense relaxation and an improved sense of freedom, energy and ease within the body are some of the sensations reported by clients.
